IoE Events Ltd / Cyber Senate – Terms & Conditions of Booking and Attendance

By registering for a Cyber Senate event, you are agreeing to the following Terms & Conditions.


1. Registration & Payment

  • IoE Events Ltd (trading as the Cyber Senate) reserves the right to refuse admission to any event or online platform if payment has not been received in full.

  • Delegate bookings are non-cancellable once agreed. However, a substitute delegate may attend if approved by our event managers.

  • Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be shared. Additional passes may be purchased if required. Please register responsibly.


2. Event Programme & Conduct

  • The event agenda/programme is subject to change at any time.

  • IoE Events Ltd cannot guarantee delegate numbers, specific job titles, or levels of seniority due to the nature of live events. No warranties are provided regarding outcomes, business opportunities, or return on investment.

  • No attendee shall organise external events, receptions, or meetings outside of the official venue using the Cyber Senate name, brand, or associated data without written permission or a sponsorship agreement. Any attempt to do so (including “Passing Off”) may result in legal action and removal from the event.


3. Data Protection & Privacy

  • IoE Events Ltd is the data controller of information collected at registration. Sponsors who receive delegate data act as independent data controllers and are responsible for their own compliance with data protection laws.

  • We collect and process the following data: name, job title, company, phone number, email address, and payment information.

  • By registering, you consent to your details being shared with selected event sponsors for the purposes of relevant business-to-business engagement, and to being contacted by IoE Events Ltd and those sponsors for related marketing communications.

  • Delegates may withdraw consent or unsubscribe from communications at any time.

  • Processing of personal data is carried out on the basis of consent and/or legitimate interest in facilitating B2B engagement at events.

  • Personal data will be retained for no longer than 3 years for event communication purposes, unless further consent is obtained.

  • Personal data will never be sold or rented to third parties.


4. Data Automatically Collected & Cookies

  • When visiting our ticketing site, we (or third parties acting on our behalf) may collect technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, and site usage statistics via cookies and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).

  • This information is collected on an anonymous basis and used to improve our website and services.

  • Cookies may be disabled in your browser settings, though this may impact site functionality.


5. Security

  • All information you provide is stored securely. Payment transactions are encrypted using SSL technology.

  • While we apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your data, no system is fully secure. You acknowledge that we cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorised access, hacking, or data breaches.


6. Liability & Force Majeure

  • IoE Events Ltd accepts no liability for technical failures, human error, accidents, or security breaches affecting the event platform or venue.

  • We are not responsible for any reliance placed on information shared during the event, nor for business relationships or transactions arising afterwards.

  • If an event cannot take place due to Acts of God, unforeseen circumstances, or legal restrictions, tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date. Substitutes for alternate dates are accepted.

  • If the event is cancelled entirely, registration fees will be refunded in full.

  • Acts of God/unforeseen events include but are not limited to: war, terrorism, labour strikes, fire, extreme weather, government restrictions, or other emergencies.

  • Delegates are advised to ensure they have adequate insurance to cover attendance.


7. Your Rights

  • You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct inaccuracies, and to request deletion of your personal data at any time.

  • You may also lodge complaints with the UK supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): www.ico.org.uk.
