Biography

I am currently the Fraud Investigation Lead at TransPennine Express, with a background spanning over two decades in law enforcement and economic crime. I began my career as a Police Officer in 2000 and became a Detective in 2006. In 2012, I transitioned into the economic crime field, where I have spent the past 14 years in both operational and leadership roles, specialising in fraud and cyber crime.

During this time, I have led complex fraud investigations and played a key role in shaping strategic responses to economic and cyber threats. Notably, in 2024, one of the investigations I oversaw was a finalist in the Tackling Economic Crime Awards for Outstanding Public Sector/Law Enforcement Initiative.

My experience gives me a deep understanding of the human impact of cyber crime—on individuals, within organisations, and across communities.
